Guts & Glory slipped past Team Rush 15-14 Sunday as the nine-team Co-Rec Fall Softball League opened the season at Las Animas Park.
Eddie Adame drove in five runs with a home run, triple and single to spark the Guts & Glory offense. Carissa Kozacek provided three singles to the winners’ output. Graig Martinez and Matt Hernandez each homered for Team Rush.
Pacheco Pass Produce topped Anritsu 10-7 as Brian Moreno powered a three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning. Brittany Sammons, Tim Adams and Shea Adams each scored two Pacheco Pass Produce runs. Dave Soto hit a triple, double and single, scoring three Anritsu runs. Tommy Muth and Ray Avena each provided three hits for Anritsu.
Hi-Energy Networks turned back En Tu Cara 7-3. Cory Tovar’s RBI-single keyed a two-run third for Hi-Energy, creating a 4-1 advantage. Shawna Snakenberg and Jordan Regallo added RBI-triples in the Hi-Energy sixth inning. Johnny Castaneda and Johnny Bueno each went 2-for-2 for En Tu Cara.
Benny Carrasco went 4-for-5 and Yoli Lomas and Angie Lopez each contributed three hits as Out 2 Play defeated Team Xtreme 20-9/ Derek orca hit two home runs and Willie Gamboa added one for Team Xtreme.
