John Serrine collected three hits and scored three runs as unbeaten Walton & Sons Masonry turned back the Sons of Pitches 18-13 in Tuesday Men’s DD Softball League play at Christmas Hill Park.
Chris Wong scored three runs and Mark Vegas stroked a triple, double and single for the 3-0 Masoners. Jared Patterson homered for the Pitches.
The Borrachos snapped a two-game losing streak with a 13-5 upset of Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors.
Sal Flores lined a two-run triple to help the Borrachos (1-2) to seven runs in the sixth inning. Flores powered a two-run home run in the second frame. Mike Sarich went 3-for-3 and Rodney Clore was 2-for-2 for Freddie Sanchez Hardwood Floors (1-2).
The 953 Boys shook off a 9-0 deficit in the first inning to trip North Bound 18-15, leaving both clubs at 1-2.
Joel Gaeta, Anthony Mendoza and Daniel DeLeon stroked home runs for the 953 Boys. Sammy Rosales scored four runs for the winners. Willie Gamboa claimed two singles as North Bound posted 11 consecutive two-out hits in the first inning. Mike Hernandez went 3-for-3 for the losers.
Corey’s Girls snapped a South County Rockery winning streak at three games Wednesday by blanking the Rockers 15-0 in Women’s League action at Christmas Hill.
Alyssa Baker went 4-for-4 and Andrea Castaneda scored three runs for 2-0 Corey’s Girls. Evelyn Martinez doubled for 3-1 South County Rockery.
DF Gals topped Las Frijolitas 21-5 behind six hits from Bri Fata. Ermelinda Garcia had four hits and four RBI for DF. Shante Mancera and Carissa Kozacek each scored four DF runs. Jamie Hill went 3-for-3 and Christina Martinez scored twice for Las Frijolitas.
The Players-HD Auto Glass moved to 3-0 atop the Wednesday E League with a 12-8 win over Johnson Lumber at Las Animas Park.
Trailing 6-4 after five, the Players used homers from Henry Quistian and Joe Ojeda to edge the Lumbermen. Xavier Puente went 3-for-4 and scored three Johnson Lumber runs.
Reggie Staley doubled and scored on a Richard Piona single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Blacktop Bombers a 13-12 win over No Soup 4 You. Brian Froulich and Joaquin Chacon hit Soup home runs.
Ryan Tapia and Marco Lopez each went 5-for-5 to lift the Loco Boys past Inglorious Batters, 21-10. Dave Elston hit a home run, triple and single for the Batters.
The Lost Boyz shocked Claddagh 22-8 in Thursday EE play to drop the Brew Crew to 2-1 atop the five-team league at Las Animas.
The Lost Boyz (1-1) got a home run, triple and single from Bryce Wilson. Jason Trujillo added a two-run homer. Dave Meacham went 3-for-3 for Claddagh.
The Titans topped Gilroy Thunder 18-3 as Jesus Begines, Ricky Correa and Jesse Ramirez stroked home runs. Sebastian Van Deren (2-for-3) drove in one Thunder run.
Medrano Electric-Bucket List improved to 3-0 in Thursday E League action with a 17-12 win over Gilroy VFW Vets. Ray Covarrubias went 4-for-4 and Ed Cordia scored three runs for the List. Daniel Montenegro hit a home run, triple and single for VFW Vets.
Matt Elston tripled and scored on Andy Alarcon’s single in the bottom of the seventh to give Anritsu a 22-21 win over Noah. Dave Soto and Elston each homered for the winners.
Josh Diaz and Gary Diaz each collected two hits in an eight-run second frame to carry VFW Bingo past Trevino Brothers Construction, 13-7. Colin Kelly tripled and singled for Trevino Brothers.
