Player-manager Armando Uribe scored four runs Thursday as the Borrachos moved into third place in the Men’s Winter Softball League at Las Animas Park with a 16-13 decision over Trevino Brothers Construction.
John Gonzalez, Matias Franco and Pablo Perez each contributed four hits as the Borrachos reached 4-2 with a pair of games left to play in January.
Dustin Barnes powered a triple and two singles to spark the Builders’ offense. Ed Lujan added a double and two singles for Trevino Brothers Construction.
North Bound moved to a 14-0 lead after five innings and topped the Loco Boys, 15-7.
Matt Hernandez went 4-for-5 and scored four North Bound runs. Danny Pequeno stroked three doubles and Jade Garcia two doubles as the winners moved to 6-0. John Carrillo and John Bueno each managed three hits for the Loco Boys (3-3).
Those Guys (5-2) remained in second place with a 28-9 victory over VFW Bingo.
Albert Vegas and Jarred Reeve each drilled two doubles for Those Guys. Gabe Perez and Behzad Kazemi each went 3-for-3 for VFW Bingo (3-4).
