Dear Editor,
To the
”
gentleman
”
who left the following note on my car on Nov. 9 in front of Nob
Hill Foods:
”
Get the loser emblem off the car (I bear a Kerry-Edwards bumper
sticker). The socialist agenda failed; your buddy Michael Moore
came up short.
– G. Bush
”
First off, it is a cowardly act to leave an anonymous note on
someone’s car.
Dear Editor,
To the “gentleman” who left the following note on my car on Nov. 9 in front of Nob Hill Foods:
“Get the loser emblem off the car (I bear a Kerry-Edwards bumper sticker). The socialist agenda failed; your buddy Michael Moore came up short. – G. Bush”
First off, it is a cowardly act to leave an anonymous note on someone’s car.
Secondly, you may gloat about the GOP’s victory, but for George Bush’s sake, I should hope he does not share your sentiment. In case you haven’t noticed during this election campaign: We are a nation deeply divided.
The incumbent president won by a very small margin. That means that close to one-half of the citizens of this great nation believe in social justice and are strongly opposed to your dirty, bloody and totally unjustified war!
Trust me, we are now just as determined as ever to fight for the protection of our environment, for better education and health care for all citizens; it behooves President Bush to pay attention not only to us but also to the many nations worldwide who disagree with his power-and-greed-driven agenda.
And last, but not least: Last I checked this is a country where free speech is not only protected but desirable. I will bear as many bumper stickers as I please – and, unlike some people, make my voice heard under my own name.
