E Cubed Foudation fundraiser exceeds expectations, raises more
than $90,000 for enrichment programs for all San Benito County’s
rural schools
Tres Pinos – Riders enjoyed a unique opportunity to meander through two old San Benito County ranches and support local rural schools in the process. E Cubed Foundation announced this month that the net proceeds from its 2006 Trail Ride and Dinner Fundraiser were in excess of $90,000. E Cubed Foundation will use the proceeds to build a permanent endowment that will generate long-term investment income to fund enrichment programs for San Benito rural schools.
On April 29, E Cubed Foundation hosted a “Trail Ride and Old Rancho Dinner” at the Santa Anita and Tobias Ranches in San Benito County, part of the historic Mexican Land Grants of 1839. The historically rich event, which was generously sponsored by local and regional businesses and attended by more than 400 people, is a primary fundraiser for the Foundation, which provides enrichment program support and related funding targeted at seven K-8 schools in rural San Benito County.
The day’s events began on horseback with a scenic 2 1/2-hour trail ride through picturesque San Benito County ranchland, and culminated with an evening of fine dining, entertainment, a silent auction, live auction and dancing.
“The willingness of people to attend and participate to help make our rural schools even better is very encouraging. Their enthusiasm and spirited bidding was much appreciated, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome,” said Leslie Schwabacher, vice-president and co-founder of E Cubed Foundation. “The Foundation would like to recognize the generosity of our sponsors, patrons and volunteers for helping us to create a high quality and enjoyable event that will benefit the children of our community long into the future.” Â Â Â
