Tamez goes 4-for-4 with three runs-batted-in, three runs-scored

GILROY – RMC Engineering remained alone atop the seven-team Men’s D League Friday after a 19-15 victory over Team HJ-FX at Las Animas Park.
Albert Tamez went 4-for-4, drove in three runs and scored three runs for the 3-0 Engineers. Angel Trujillo keyed a nine-run third inning with a two doubles for the winners. Vince Fortino managed three RMC RBI. Mike Patterson and Gilbert Ramirez bolted Team HJ-FX home runs.
Dequin’s Auto Body is the only D team at 2-1 after a 13-7 deecision over Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy-Humboldt Brewing.
Al Vegas and Phil Bautista each posted three Dequin’s hits. John Serrine scored three Dequin’s runs. Anthony Hernandez and Dave Keim Jr. each went 3-for-3 for the losers.
Ellite Barbers and Hair Stylists snapped a two-game losing streak with a 4-3 edging of Trevino Brothers Construction. Jesus Romero sliced a run-scoring single with two out in the bottom of the eighth to plate Gregory Lucio with the winning run. Aaron Muro homered and GregLucio went 3-for-4 for the Barbers. Darren Wall singled, doubled and tripled for Trevino Brothers Construction.
Campbell’s Towing edged Solid Ground 7-6 Thursday to remain unbeaten atop the Men’s E League at Christmas Hill Park.
Rayce Zamaripa doubled and tripled, driving in three Campbell’s runs. John Ontiveros went 3-for-3 and Jess Rawlins plated two Towing runs. Gian Rossini’s two-run triple highlighted a six-run explosion by Solid Ground in the seventh.
Mike Keith went 2-for-4 and scored two runs as Claddagh Brew Crew stopped the Titans 9-6. Rudy Diaz each 2-for-3 and Criag Deal scored two Titan runs.
Andrew Lanier hit for the cycle and drove in five runs as 2-1 St. Mary Men’s Club defeated Team Heinzen 24-17. Gary Botill went 4-for-5 with four RBI, John Doyle 4-for-6 with three RBI for St. Mary Men’s Club. Nathan Galdos hit a homer, triple and double, Manny Freitas a homer and two singles for Team Heinzen.
Alex Pena delivered four hits and Danny Rubio scored four runs to pace 3-0 Blackout Window Tinting to a 20-15 nod over Radiator Doctor Thursday at Las Animas in Men’s EE action.
John Andrade (4-for-5) and Jerry Johnston (2-for-4) each homered and scored four Radiator Doctor runs.
Greg Lugo singled and doubled, scoring three times, as Courtesy Chevrolet upset the Bay Area Communications Loco Boys 12-11.
Ray Morelos and George Ocampo each homered as VFW BIngo defeated the Good Ole Boys 23-6. Greg Flippo and Ocampo finished with four hits apiece.
The VFW Vets upended Good Fellas 11-8 Friday at Christmas Hill to snap a four-game Men’s C League winning streak by the Fellas.
Johnny Ramirez and Toby Reyes each singled and tripled for the 2-2 Vets. Ruben PErez went 3-for-3 for Fellas.
Ray Bustinza, Chase Locsin, Bobby Reggiani and Brian Sullivan each stroked a run-scoring single in the sixth inning as Punishment Inc. rallied past D.A. Wolfe Construction. Jesus Perales went 2-for-2 for Wolfe.
Dee’z Nutz reached the win column by thumping Carreiro’s Plastering 10-6. Ed Vargas went 3-for-3 and Ed Gamboa singled and doubled for the 1-3 Nutz.
Sean Segura went 3-for-4 and scored three runs as 3-0 Krazy Koyote defeated the Slammers 14-7 in Men’s DD play Friday at Gavilan Sports Park. Carlos Garcia and Carlos Naranjo each managed three Krazy hits. Ed Cordia and Val Casillas finished with three hits apiece for the Slammers.
Eddie Mancini homered in a 4-for-4 night to pace the Hustlers past the Martini’s 14-9. Robert Vasquez went 4-for-4 and Reniel Izquerdo homered for the winners. Stephan Jones muscled a three-run homer for the Martini’s.
Joel Gaeta went 4-for-4 and Benito Landeros homered to lead Los Chilotes to a 12-7 win over the Bomb Squad. Mark Salazar and Joshua Gonzales each drilled a two-run single for the Squad.
