Born on Sept. 21, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Frey was the second oldest in a large family.

He joined the United States Navy in 1958, which led to a life of military precision and determination, along with an unsurpassed fascination for military history. Mr. Frey is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen (“Heart of My Heart”); his daughter, Alison (“Missy”) and her fiancé, Matt Ashworth, Eileen (“Leeny-bean”), Elizabeth (“Libber”), Lesley (“Leslita”), and son, Robert Joseph Jr. (“Roberto”); his brothers; Jack, Jim, Larry, and sister Mary.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman; his mother, Irene; his brother, George; and his sister Noreen.

His charisma, good humor and acceptance will be missed greatly. We love you, Dad.
