Gilroy – Rosso’s Rebels gained possession of first place in the second half of the Men’s D League softball play Friday by defeating Trevino Brothers Construction 10-5 at Christmas Hill Park.
Zeke Lopez went 3-for-4 and Jaime Rosso lined a two-run triple as the Rebels moved to 3-0. Matt Tate and Chase Locsin each went 3-for-3 for Trevino Brothers Construction.
Ellite Barbers handed Dan Keith Septics a first loss in three tries in the second half, 12-5. Tito Flores went 3-for-4 as Dan Keith Septics (2-1) built a 5-4 by the sixth inning. Ellite Barbers responded with eight runs in the sixth, paced by two-run singles fro, Jesus Romero, Greg Lucio and Charlie Gutierrez.
Dr. Tile is 1-1 after defeating Team Hair FX 13-10. Sergio Diaz went 4-for-5 and Manuel Del Villar went 3-for-3 for the Tilemen. Dave Del Villar mustered three hits and scored three Dr. Tile runs. Brett Faust went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly for Team Hair FX.
Men’s BB
Czar Construction is 2-0 atop the Men’s BB League standings by stopping DLM Electric 25-2 Friday at Las Animas Park.
Ryan Dequin homered and Rico Lopez went 3-for-3 and scored three runs for Czar, the first-half BB champion. Paul Garcia stroked a run-scoring double for DLM Electric.
Interstate Fence-Dee’z Nutz defeated California Silk Screening 20-16. Rob Sanchez powered two home runs and three singles for Interstate-Dee’z. Henry Huerta ttok game batting honors with six singles for the winners. Joey Garcia went 5-for-5 and Jim Sands provided a home run, triple and two singles for Cal Silk, the first-half C League champion.
Bad News earned a forfeit win over Good Fellas.

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds took first place in the Co-Rec B League at 3-0 with a 10-3 upset of first-half champion Dequin’s Auto Body-Stubby’s Sports Bar & Grill Sunday at Christmas Hill.
Art Esquer homered in a 5-for-5 night and Richie Rodriquez added a triple and four singles for the Bondsmen. Ryan Dequin singled and doubled for Dequin-Stubby.
Cary O’Neal Roofing is 1-2 in B play after a 16-2 victory over Lights Out. Mark Terrill homered and K. C. Adams belted a triple, double and two singles for the Roofers. Matt Hernandez collected two doubles for Lights Out.
