GILROY – RSW Racing sped to 5-0 atop the Co-Rec C League standings Sunday with a 15-7 victory over the Big Kahunas at Las Animas Park.

Jerry Johnston lined two doubled and a single, scoring three runs as RSW maintained a one-game lead over Hi-Energy Networks. Rudi Groppe tripled and doubled for Big Kahunas (3-2).

Eric Martin’s two-run triple highlighted a seven-run first inning as Hi-Energy Networks turned back Team Hair FX 11-6. Tony Smith tripled and doubled for the winners. Jason Mesa and Anthony Martinez smacked home runs for Team Hair FX.

Steve Aguirre drove in five runs with a home run, two triples and a double in a 13-6 Blackout Window Tinting win over Gaeta’s Ballers in Co-Rec B play. Chris Adame and Ruben Ramirez homered for Gaeta’s.

Brent Boyd homered in a five-hit performance as 5-0 Pacific Coast Bail Bonds defeated the Assassins 31-9 in Men’s E play Thursday at Las Animas.

Ryan Boyd and Joel Gaeta each netted five Bail Bonds hits. Gabriel Corona went 3-for-3 for the Assassins.

Steve LaFirenza and Kevin Austin each scored four runs to propel the Gilroy Honda Pilots by SVCC Sons of Thunder 22-6. Brian Miller went 3-for-3 for the Sons of Thunder.

The Hit Crew joined New Hope Community Church at 4-1 in second place by defeating the Borrachos 15-9. Tyler Maslanka collected a homer, triple and single for the Crew. Scott Denham went 3-for-3. Mitchell Reese and Ralph Flores hit Borrachos home runs.

Anritsu clinched the first-half Men’s EE title Thursday at Christmas Hill Park with an 11-7 victory over the OG’s.

Mike Buettler went 3-for-3 and scored three runs as Anritsu moved to 5-0 and a two-game lead with one game left in the first half. Dave Soto added a triple and two singles. Josh Dias roped a three-run homer for the OG’s.

Don Haygood powered a home run, triple and single to help the Good Ole Boys past Heinzen Manufacturing 19-3. Bill Miller went 4-for-4 for the winners. John Jimenez and James Dent hit Heinzen homers.

Team Hair FX (3-2) has a three-game winning streak after topping Bad News Block 34-0. Eric Gebhart and Rico llamas each went 6-for-6 for the winners. Eric Daniel went 2-for-2 for Bad News Block.
