Meghan Kathleen McBrearty recently received a doctor of
philosophy with a major in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific
University. Meghan, daughter of Patrick McBrearty and Judith
McBrearty of Gilroy, is a 2002 graduate of Gilroy High School and
received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of
California in Santa Barbara in 2006.

Meghan McBrearty

Meghan Kathleen McBrearty recently received a doctor of philosophy with a major in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University.

Meghan, daughter of Patrick McBrearty and Judith McBrearty of Gilroy, is a 2002 graduate of Gilroy High School and received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California in Santa Barbara in 2006.

To receive her doctorate, Meghan successfully completed five years of study at Seattle Pacific, a one-year internship and a dissertation.

She is a resident of Jacksonville, Fla.

Michael Hernandez

Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Michael A. Hernandez, a 2004 graduate of Live Oak High School, recently completed a 10-month shipyard availability aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay, forward deployed to Yokosuka, Japan.

USS Mobile Bay is the second guided missile cruiser to undergo the most comprehensive upgrade and modernization program in Navy history. During that time the crew endured an extensive yard period that included the modernization of weapons and combat systems. Directly following the yard period, the crew charged through a series of sea trials and qualifications in preparation for deployment.

Hernandez joined the Navy in September 2007.

Joelle Jenkins

Joelle H. Jenkins, of Morgan Hill, has been named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the 2011 spring semester.

Casey Larson

Casey Larson graduated in May from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind. Casey, daughter of Sue and Don Larson of Morgan Hill, received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies.

Connor Joseph Romero

Connor Joseph Romero was born May 24, 2011 at St. Louise Regional Hospital to Bryan Romero and Krystal Romero of Gilroy. He weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces.
