Katelynn Moeller

HONORS: Katelynn Moeller: Air Force Airman Katelynn Moeller graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Moeller earned distinction as an honor graduate and is the daughter of Heather and Gregg Moeller of Hollister. She is a 2010 graduate of San Benito High School.
Students named to dean’s list
The following local residents were among 708 students who made the dean’s list at California Lutheran University for the fall semester.
• Michael Kelly-Bocksnick, of Morgan Hill, a biological science major.
• Nelson Pyle, of Morgan Hill, is a biological science major.
Students qualify for the list by maintaining a 3.6 grade point average in their academic subjects.
CLU is a selective university based in Thousand Oaks, with additional centers in Oxnard, Woodland Hills, Santa Maria and Berkeley.
Thomas Brown
Thomas Brown, a broadcast communications major from San Martin, was one of 60 University of Pittsburgh at Bradford juniors and seniors named to the 2013-14 edition of “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges.” Students were selected for this honor based upon a combination of the following criteria: leadership and participation in co-curricular activities; service to the college community; and academic achievement.
Ryan Yappert
Ryan Yappert, of Gilroy, has been named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University for the fall semester of the 2013-14 academic year. He achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0.
Yappert is the son of Craig and Joanne Yappert and a 2012 graduate of Gilroy High School.
Located in Lewisburg, Pa., Bucknell University is a highly selective, private, liberal arts university that offers majors in the arts, engineering, humanities, management and social and natural sciences.
