Felicia, daughter of the late David Vilchis and Pam Vilchis of Gilroy, is a 2011 graduate of Gilroy High School and is attending WestMed College for nursing, and will graduate in February 2013.
Chris, son of Willis Niffenegger of San Jose and Hiliana Caudill of Santa Clara, is a 2008 graduate of Gilroy High School. He works at Angelicas in Gilroy.
The couple are planning a June 21, 2013 wedding at WedgeWood Wedding and Banquet Center at Eagle Ridge.
Gardner/van Keulen
Lauren E. Gardner and Christopher C. van Keulen are engaged to be married.
Lauren, daughter of Bill and Mary Beth Gardner of Downer’s Grove, Ill., graduated from Montini Catholic High School in Lombard, Ill., and St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology: health and human performance. She is the fitness manager at Oakwood Athletic Club in Lafayette.
Chris, son of Craig and Mary Ellen van Keulen of Morgan Hill, graduated from St. Catherine’s Elementary School in Morgan Hill and from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 2007 and a master’s degree in 2010 from St. Mary’s College of California in Moraga. He is a commercial real estate broker with Cassidy Turley in the East Bay.
The couple are planning an Aug. 10, 2013 wedding in Downer’s Grove, Ill.

Sergio Mihai
Air Force Airman 1st Class Sergio M. Mihai graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Mihai is the son of Cristian Mihai of Morgan Hill and a 2011 graduate of Ann Sobrato High School.
Andrew Turner
Army Reserve Pvt. Andrew M. Turner has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.
Turner is the son of Terry Turner of Hollister and a 2011 graduate of Salinas High School.
Kabir Ahluwalia
