Dear Editor,

Wow, the Sierra Club and their foot soldiers are spending $300,000 on a petition to cut zoning in rural Santa Clara County from eight homes per 160 acres to just one home of limited square footage.

The Sierra Club goal of herding the population into congested urban “zones of cooperation” and denying land owners reasonable use of their property is not preventing urban sprawl, but rather appears to be an attempt to phase out ranch land ownership as it becomes instantly devalued through unreasonable restrictions.

Ranchers and farmers take heart, environmental groups are standing by to acquire your land at the deeply discounted rates they’ll be creating. I’ll not be signing their petition.
