I graduated from Cupertino High School in the 1960s. The school
had more than 3,000 students attending.To handle the volume of
students. there were three 30-minute lunch periods. It was
workable.

Cupertino was closed campus so the students ate there or brought from home ( brown bag ). On campus was the cafeteria, hamburger and hot dog window and snack bar in the student center.
Having multiple lunch periods is a workable thing and has been around for more than 40 years. It is a benefit for the students in addition to the cooks and food servers.
If the personnel have difficulties with multiple lunch periods, have them contact their counter parts at Fremont Union High School District in Cupertino.
The students and food servers would benefit the most. That is something we want for all the students in addition to a good education. Hungry students don’t do well in school.
