Gilroy – The Mustangs ended their boys’ volleyball season with a 27–25, 25–20, 18–25, 25–14 win over Salinas Friday on Senior Night.
Though coach Craig Martin is doubtful that the ‘Stangs will get a bid into the 16-team Central Coast Section playoff pool, he was pleased with the team’s 21–12 season.
“We’re battling forces we can’t control,” Martin said. “But we can control a 20–win season.”
Leading the way for GHS was Patrick Largo (33 assists) and Vinny DeLorenzo (18 kills).
