Gilroy Chaos Softball opens registration for golf fundraiser at Gilroy GC

GILROY – The Gilroy Chaos softball club – with fastpitch teams in various age divisions – will be hosting an August 17 golf outing fundraiser at Gilroy Golf Course.

The four-person scramble format and 1 p.m. shotgun start has an $85 entry fee – which includes green fees, golf cart, lunch, barbeque, and prizes.

Hooked On Golf’s Mitch Juricich to host ADBGA fundraiser at Eagle Ridge GC

GILROY – Mitch Juricich, of Hooked on Golf, and Roy Holt the No. 1 Class B visually impaired golfer in the United States, will host the second annual ABDGA fundraising golf tournament September 12 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course.

The four-man scramble competition – which has a $195 entry fee that includes green fees, golf cart, lunch, dinner, cocktails, auction, raffle, and music – will have a noon shotgun start. There will be simluation holes for golfers to feel what it is like to tee-off with various disabilities.

In addition, there will be a clinic that day for adults and children with disabilities using adaptive equipment as well as a lunch.

Midnight Madness junior golf tournament changes event to September

GILROY – Are you afraid of the dark?

Because Gilroy Golf Course will once again be kicking off its summer junior golf schedule with their second annual ‘Midnight Madness Nightlite Golf Tournament’.

The tournament is open to junior golfers from ages 10-17 and will be held at Gilroy Golf Course in September.

The event is played in the dark with glow in the dark golf balls. The festivities start at 7:30 p.m. with a putting tournament followed by a hamburger bbq at 8 p.m.

The six-hole tournament will start approximately 8:30 p.m. and end by 11 p.m. Entry for the event is $30 which includes golf, dinner, glow in the dark ball and prizes. The field is limited to the first 48 golfers. To sign up, please call Gilroy GC at 848-0490.
