The San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art presents its 24th Annual Fall Art Auction this Saturday. More than 100 of the finest Bay Area artists, representing a wide range of expression, have generously donated a piece of artwork to be sold at a live auction to benefit the ICA’s ongoing exhibition and educational program.
Notable artists whose work will be auctioned off by auctioneer extraordinaire Steve Martin include Gregg Chadwick, Naomie Kremer, David Pace, Kathryn Dunlevie, Christel Dillbohner, Shelby Smith and Tracey Snelling. Media includes painting, sculpture, print-making, photography and new media. And don’t forget to enjoy the gourmet hors d’oeuvres from San Jose’s finest restaurants (Aqui, Bella Mia, Emile’s, E&O Trading, Il Fornaio, PF Chang’s, Willow Street and many more) and complementary wine and champagne from J. Lohr Winery.
Admission is $35 for ICA members and $45 for non-members, with 20 percent discounts available for advance purchases. Doors open at 6pm and the auction begins promptly at 7pm.
