share of the second-half Men’s EE Softball League title at Las
Animas Park.
The OG’s will play VFW Bingo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at
Christmas Hill Park. The winner of that game plays at 7:40 p.m.
against Team Hair FX to snap the three-way tie for first place.
GILROY – The OG’s edged SVCC Sons of Thunder 11-9 Thursday to earn a share of the second-half Men’s EE Softball League title at Las Animas Park.

The OG’s will play VFW Bingo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Christmas Hill Park. The winner of that game plays at 7:40 p.m. against Team Hair FX to snap the three-way tie for first place.

TJ Loebig lined a three-run home run and three singles to ignite the OG’s attack. Jon Peterson added a double and single for the winners. Rick Chavez went 3-for-3 for the Sons of Thunder.

Anritsu finished the season at 12-0 with a 24-9 victory over the Gilroy Honda Pilots in Men’s E play Thursday. Anritsu will face first-half champion Hit Crew in the best 2-of-3 championship series.

Cesar Lopez went 5-for-5 and Ben Hartshorn provided four hits for Anritsu. Jon Milosovich tripled and doubled for the Honda Pilots.

Matt Wilkerson went 3-for-3 and scored two runs to lift the Assassins past Trevino Brothers Construction 8-7. Scott Mead added three singles. Herman Vasquez and Matt Corona each managed three hits for Trevino Brothers Construction.

The Hit Crew prepped for the post-season with a 21-17 nod over the Borrachos.

Josh Torresse hit a three-run homer, Chris Wong a solo shot for the Crew. Mario Uribe went 3-for-4 for the Borrachos.

Let’s Bang completed a 4-0 march to the Co-Rec Fourth of July C Division title Saturday with a 5-4 rally past McNamara Electric at Las Animas Park.

Let’s Bang moved into the finals with a 3-0 mark, facing 4-1 McNamara Electric. Anita Terezas scored twice as McNamara took a 4-0 lead into the seventh inning. Willie Gamboa and Angelica Galindo slapped sacrifice flies for a 4-2 deficit with two out and trhe bases loaded. Anthony Lucio’s double tied the score and Guillermo Gamboa earned Let’s Bang the title of the 37th annual event with an RBI-single.

Lookin’ to Score settled for third place by dropping a 13-3 contest to McNamara Electric in the semi-finals. Pitch Please earned the fourth-place award after falling to McNamara Electric 8-3.

Racks and Sacks went 4-0 to take the Co-Rec B Division title, topping Gilroy Foods & Flavors-Dee’z Nutz and Cherries 8-2 in the finals. Art Esquier scored three Sacks runs in the finals. Memo Lopez Jr. went 2-for-2 for the second-place team.

Gilroy Foods-Dee’z left Jus 2 Party with the third-place honors by taking the semi-finals 10-1. Gabe Ponce paced the winners with three hits.

Frank Vargas Taxes finished fourth, dropping out of the double-elimination event with an 8-4 loss to Gilroy Foods-Dee’z. Junior Gutierrez went 3-for-3 for the winners.
