Police released this photo of the alleged suspect from Friday's attempted robbery at Citibank.

Gilroy Police officers responded to an attempted bank robbery at approximately 4:36 p.m. Friday at Citibank, located at 7050 Camino Arroyo in Gilroy.
Officers say the suspect – described as a Hispanic male adult between the ages of 30 to 35, measuring 5-feet-7-inches and wearing a black cap, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white tennis shoes – entered the bank and presented a teller with a note demanding money. The teller didn’t hand anything over and the suspect fled on foot empty-handed prior to the arrival of police, according to a GPD press release. No weapon was displayed by the suspect during the attempted robbery, authorities say.
Multiple officers arrived in the area of the reported crime within minutes of being notified of the situation and conducted a search for the suspect, who managed to evade capture, the press release states. No injuries were reported during the incident and GPD has assumed the ongoing investigation.
