Gilroy – Team Talamo turned an 11-run sixth inning into an 11-5 victory over Craig Avila Bail Bonds in the Men’s B League softball opener Friday at Las Animas Park.

Rich Rodriquez homered and Joel Gaeta and Marco Lopez each doubled and scored as Craig Avila Bail Bonds built a 3-0 lead through five innings.

Team Talamo sent 16 batters to the plate in the top of the sixth, led by two singles each from Raul Bueno and Danny Pequeno. Alex Salgado socked a two-run home run for the winners.

The Mechanics opened B action with a 14-8 nod over Obata Farms.

Brock Prather hit two home runs and David Chacon drilled a home run and two doubles for the Mechanics. Jason Livingston stroked two home runs for Obata Farms.

The Slammers opened Men’s D play Friday at Gavilan Sports Park with a 19-11 decision over Fritter-Schulz Physical Therapy-Pizza N Stuff.

Ralph Ortez hit two home runs, Val Casillas went 4-for-4 and Ray Covarrubias homered for the Slammers. George Delgado went 4-for-4 and Ben Roybal and Dave Keim Jr. hit consecutive homers for the losers.

Ceasar Vasquez singled home Ryan Bell in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn Bomb Squad a 15-14 triumph over Team HJ-FX. Addison Quach homered and added two singles to the Bomb Squad offense. Jim Blean homered and Mike Kachel hit a triple and two singles for Team HJ-FX.

Rich Furtado’s three-run home run helped Community Bank by Dan Keith Septics 13-12. Duke Newton drove in three Community Bank runs with a triple and two singles. Joaquin Chacon and Danny Rubacalva each homered for Dan Keith Septics.

Jose Romero hit a triple and two singles to spark Ellite Barbers past Happy Dog Pizza 16-11. Gregory Lucio scored four Barber runs. Darren Wall drove in six Happy Dog Pizza runs with a homer and two singles.

Benji Dequin hit a home run, triple and single to lead D. A. Wolfe Construction past Dee’z Nutz Friday at Christmas Hill Park in Men’s BB play.

Danny Rodriguez went 3-for-3 for the Builders, Sean Subia 2-for-3 for Dee’z.

Jon Castro, Mike Ahmed and Joe Senigaglia each mashed three hits to propel Ascent Electrical by In The Zone 17-9. Emiliano Vargas homered and Isaac Gonzalez went 3-for-4 for the Zone.

The Good Fellas turned back Dynamite 16-3 as Johnny Perez drove in four runs with a sacrifice fly, double and triple. Rob Adina doubled and tripled for Maui Tacos Dynamite.

Meanwhile, on Thursday Jorge Landeros smacked two home runs at Las Animas Park to lead Help U Sell Real Estate past the Good Ole Boys 20-5 in Men’s EE League softball action.

Matt Coughlin homered and Jaime Rosso delivered a single, double and triple for the Realtors. Joe Balanesi stroked three hits and Robie Kramer and Bob Schoeneman added two hits apiece to the Good Ole Boys attack.

Gamers In Control opened the season with a 29-7 victory over the Long Shots.

Ernesto Salinas scored five runs to key the Gamers offense.
