The library, at 7652 Monterey St., has been remodeled faster than scheduled. the library interior is finished, computers are hooked up, books are moved in and staff is organizing for the opening, Councilman Bob Dillon said. All that is left to do is pave the parking lot, which is dependent on dry weather.

A grand opening is tentatively scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 27.
