Teresa Alfonso, 86, died peacefully at her home on Saturday,
Feb. 14, 2004, after a long illness.
Teresa Alfonso, 86, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 8, 1917, in Salamanca, Spain.
Teresa moved to Gilroy in 1972 from Spain and has been a resident ever since. She was a past member of St. Mary Church, Gilroy.
Teresa was the loving wife of 57 years to Constantino Alfonso, of Gilroy; loving mother of Teresa Lopez, Jose Alfonso and Hortensia Ariza, all of Gilroy; dear grandmother of Victor Lopez, Yolanda Ariza-Escobar, Carlos Andres Ariza and Ivan Ariza, all of Gilroy; great-grandmother of Gabriel Lopez, Miranda Lauren Escobar, Xochilt Victoria Lopez and Nicholas Alexander Escobar, all of Gilroy. She is also survived by many relatives in Spain.

Funeral Mass was held Tuesday afternoon at St. Mary Church, under direction of Habing Family Funeral Home, Gilroy.
