Texas Hold ‘Em tourney on tap

Team registration is now being accepted at the Gilroy Recreation Department for the eighth annual Super Showdown Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament on Feb. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Gilroy Senior Center.
The one-day tournament, featuring four-person teams playing at different tables, is a fundraiser for many City of Gilroy programs, including youth scholarships, the youth center and senior activities. This is the 39th in a series of Texas Hold ‘Em Tournaments offered throughout the year.
A minimum of nine tables of players is expected. The Final Table will conclude at approximately 3 p.m. Team and individual honors will be announced.
A $65 entry fee and a roster are needed to enroll by the Jan. 28 deadline. This recreational event is open to men and women ages 18 and over. Further information is available at (408) 846-0460.
