Dear Editor,

Once again the Gilroy Rotary Club has come through with much needed and greatly appreciated financial support for a number of local non-profit endeavors.

Rucker Elementary School’s Arts Alive program was just one of the many recipients of grants in Rotary’s annual Community Giving Program, celebrated at a luncheon meeting last month.

More than $30,000 in donations went to activities ranging from the creative arts to horse camps for disadvantaged youth. These donations go directly to our community, focusing on helping our youth (our future!). A big round of applause goes out to the local Rotary Club and its generous members, who in all their combined fundraising programs throughout the year generate over $100,000 in donations.
