Vic Vanni scored on a Ryan Romero double in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Titans to a 4-2 record with two games left in the regular-season schedule. Johnny Ramirez highlighted the Titan offense with two home runs and a triple. Jim Reimer produced a triple and two singles, and David Rose had three singles for the Titans. Darin Edu clubbed a triple and three singles for 4-2 Deadman.
The AAA-Cali Boys powered past the VFW Vets 21-11 to move into first place at 4-2.
Art Del Valle stroked a home run, triple, double and two singles for the winners.
Sal Preciado went 3-for-3 with a sacrifice fly. Joe Cano roped a three-run home run, double and two singles for the VFW Vets.
Walton & Sons Masonry upset the Loco Boys (4-2) 23-18 by snapping a 15-15 tie with eight runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Tim Graves homered and John Serrine and Jarred Reeves each lined four hits to anchor the Walton & Sons Masonry offense. Bubba Lara drilled a grand slam, two triples, a double and single for the Loco Boys.
Men’s CCC
The Platinum Roofing Slammers eased past George Chiala Farms 24-19 Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park to remain atop the Men’s Winter CCC League standings.
The Slammers extended a 14-11 lead with a 10-run outburst in the top of the seventh inning. Joe Duran belted a home run, triple and single for the 5-1 winners. Rudy Maquinalez added a two-run homer and single, Joaquin Chacon a single, double and triple for the Roofers. Chase Locsin dominated the Chiala Farms offense with a home run, triple and two doubles. Scott Mittleman and Rusty Trevino each netted four hits for the Farmers.
Neighborhood Pizza slipped into second place at 5-2 with a 13-10 victory over Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.
Rick Cosio drove in three Neighborhood runs with a triple and two singles. David Sotelo slapped a triple and two singles, scoring three Pizza runs. Juan Contreras scored twice for the Bondsmen.
Hollister Motor Sports-Gilroy Steel remained in post-season contention at 4-3 by stopping Rhino Wiring 8-7.
Steve Andrade and Matt Andrade hit consecutive RBI-singles in the bottom of the sixth to wrap up the Steel win. Bill Parcell led the winners with a double and two singles. Steve Aguirre, Scott Rader and Gabriel Corral each managed four hits for Rhino Wiring.
