Born in Homeboy, Bingham Canyon, Utah, Mr. Bonino was a longtime rancher in the San Martin area, growing prunes, grapes, pears and walnuts.
He was a member of the Sunsweet and Cal Can Co-ops in Gilroy and enjoyed deer hunting.
Mr. Bonino is survived by his wife of 68 years, Helen Bonino of San Martin; children, Donald and wife Lynne Bonino, Louie and wife Judy Bonino and Elaine Bonino all of San Martin; grandchildren, Donna and husband Daren Augustin of Stockton, Randy and wife Lori Bonino, Russell and wife Raquel and Brent Bonino all of San Martin; great-grandchildren, Anthony and Jeremy Bonino of San Martin, Cameron and Gavan Augustin of Stockton and Jennifer, Nicole and Thomas Bonino of San Martin ; sister, Jennie Costa of Coyote; nephew, Roger Costa of San Jose; nieces, Janet Hebert of San Jose and Anita Sciutto of Capitola; and sister-in-law, Mamie Sgheiza of Gilroy.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8pm, Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at the Habing Family Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6 to 7pm.
Funeral services will be at 11am Thursday, Sept. 30, at the chapel. Entombment will follow at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park.
