Tony Castelo Gomes died Dec. 7 in Gilroy. He was 68 years old.
He was married for 46 years to Carol Gomes; the beloved father of Deanna Gomes and fiancé Dean Katzung; the dear brother of Mary Freitas, Luis Gomes, Joe Gomes, Madalena Peixoto, and Natercia Fontes.
He is preceded in death by parents Joao F. and Maria M. Gomes.
He immigrated to the United States from Flores, Azores at age 18. He was a Dairyman for 35 years, and owner of Gomes Dairy.
Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Mass today at 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 11 First St., in Gilroy. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Oaks, 300 Curtner Ave., in San Jose.
Interment will follow the chapel service at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Friends may visit today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home.
