Memorial Day remembrance and parade
The Gilroy American Legion Post No. 217 will hold a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony to honor those who have died to protect our freedom at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Cemetery on First Street. A parade will march down 10th and Monterey streets following the ceremony. There will family fun events all day at Christmas Hill Park.
– 9 a.m.: Remembrance ceremony, St. Mary’s Cemetery
– 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Central Coast Muscle Cars & Classic Club Car Show begins at Christmas Hill Park
– 11 a.m.: Parade begins at train station parking lot on Monterey Road, heads south then proceeds west on 10th Street toward Gilroy High School
– 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Family Fun Day begins at Christmas Hill Park
– 3 p.m.: Moment of silence following by playing of “Taps”
Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras
The Morgan Hill Mushroom Mardi Gras Festival offers two days of free family fun, including live entertainment, arts and crafts, food and unique booths from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Downtown Morgan Hill. Details: (408) 778-1786 or mhmushroommardigras.com.
Acoustic Grooves at Sue’s Coffee

‘Godspell’ comes to Morgan Hill church

All-you-can eat at Gilroy Gardens
Gilroy Gardens will host a special all-you-can-eat barbecue in the Events Plaza from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday through Monday.
