GILROY – The Tornadoes are in a bit of a slump, as they have been unable to score in either of their last two games. A scoreless tie with the Los Gatos Crush has knocked them out of first place in the league for the first time this season.

The Tornadoes midfield of JC Clayton, Alex Seda, Mary Thatcher, and Amanda Whitling controlled play for the most part throughout the game – mounting several solid offensive pushes for forwards Bella Comin, Clarissa Hammer, Taylor Johnson, Amanda Kline, and Lexi MacPhail. But none of the Tornadoes’ strikers were able to find the back of the net. A surehanded Crush goalie handled every shot the Tornadoes could muster.

At the other end of the field, the Tornadoes’ defensive line of Sarah Block, Cloey LemMon, Lindsay Pund, and Stephanie Wan played a solid game – keeping goalie Nichole Downing from having to weather any serious scoring chances.

The Tornadoes hope to get back on track with a Jamboree on the off-date next week.
