the division championship.
MORGANA – The Orchard Valley Toros – a local girls 10-under elite soccer squad – swept their way through the Hot August Jamboree over the weekend in Morgana to win the division championship.
The Toros did not allow a goal the entire tournament – topping the Hayward Cyberrays, 4-0; the Bay Oaks Bombers, 2-0; and the LaOrinda United, 4-0.
Jennae Cambra scored eight of the 10 goals for the Toros, while teammates Katelyn Nebesnick and Megan Rauschnot each scored one apiece.
But it was the stingy Toros defense that took center stage led by fullbacks Sarina Sandoval and Breanna Rose as well as goaltenders Holly Dunwoodie and Chelsea Hill.
