Another quake rippled through San Benito County this morning following Wednesday’s shaker in San Martin.
Today’s 3.4 magnitude temblor struck at 7:34 a.m. two miles southwest of San Juan Bautista and eight miles southwest of Hollister, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.Â
Thursday’s quake is slightly bigger than its recent predecessor in South County.
Some residents in San Martin and Gilroy kicked off their Halloween with a jolt in the dark, early hours of the morning.
Several locals reported being shaken awake Wednesday when a 3.2 magnitude earthquake struck South County at 2:57 a.m., according to the USGS.
The temblor struck five miles east of San Martin, seven miles northeast of Gilroy and eight miles southeast of Morgan Hill.Â
