Sandra Ceja scored the first goal with a nice left foot shot from the side of the goal to help Chaos win 3-1 over SC Sporting Saturday.

Alexi Slattery scored the second goal with a cross assist from Claire Toy. Ceja scored the third and final goal to seal the win. Goalies Alejandra Aceves and C.C. Contreras made numerous saves and the defensive line of Kayla Owens, Taylor Dempsey, Claire Giacalone and Emily Allaert provided an aggressive style of play to give Chaos the upper hand.

In game two, Ceja scored on a solo shot to secure Chaos’s only goal of the game in a 4-1 loss to Hollister. It was the only game of the tournament Chaos did not come out on top of. Maddie Bohn, Carly McPolin, Taylor Silacci, Bella Apolinar, and Tamlin Vereyken played an excellent game at Midfield to keep things competitive and exciting to watch. They all had numerous shots on goal.

In game three, Ceja scored both goals of the game with her aggressive style and speed up front at the forward position. Valaria Escalera played an excellent game at goalie to help with secure the win and a shot at a playoff game later that afternoon.

The most exciting game of the tournament came in game four. Every player of the Chaos team and the Almaden Fusion played a solid and aggressive match. Ceja scored on a penalty kick which kept the score tied at 1-1 for the remainder of the contest. Being that this was a playoff game for third and fourth place finishes in the tournament, it could not end in a tie.

Two five-minute halves of overtime were played with stellar offense and defensive play by both teams, ending in another 1-1 draw. Chaos goalie, Aceves, made some spectacular saves in the overtime period before the game went into penalty kicks to determine the winner of the third place medals. Chaos chose Goalie Alejandra Aceves and Shooters: Ceja, Slattery, Dempsey, Contreras, and Vereyken to go into the penalty kicks round. With over 200 people watching, Chaos pulled out the victory by making four out of five goals and only allowing three by Almaden.

Overall, the Chaos finished third in this very competitive tournament.
