Sheriff's

UPDATE:

Sgt. James Jensen of the Santa Clara Sheriff’s Department on Thursday morning said based upon their preliminary investigations, the skeletal remains discovered near Gavilan College last night, are not believed to belong to Sierra LaMar, the Morgan Hill teen who went missing 4 years ago, due to visible dental work.

Investigations will continue, with the remains being turned over to the county coroner’s office. Sgt. Jenson says it is too early to determine the age, sex or any other identifying features of the remains. He adds it is also to early to say how long the remains had been at the location before being found last night.

He said he did not know how long the investigation will take.
