Avenue, Dec. 5 through 7.
GILROY – Enjoy a holiday event designed to usher in the Christmas season. The Festival of the Trees will be at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, corner of Monterey Road and Dunne Avenue, Dec. 5 through 7.
The premier dinner and live auction will be held on Dec. 5 from 6 to 10:30 p.m. This will be the first opportunity for the community to view the lavishly decorated Christmas trees of the festival. Cocktails and viewing of the trees begins at 6 p.m., followed by a gourmet dinner and auction of the trees. Cost is $75 per person and reservations must be received by Nov. 27.
Family Fun Days will be held on Dec. 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $2. There will be live entertainment, a ginger-bread village, crafts, visits with Santa and more.
On Dec. 6, enjoy an evening of Christmas music and holiday desserts from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The evening begins with several awards in recognition of the decorators, including Best of Show and Best Theme. The People’s Choice Award will be voted on throughout the three-day event and announced on Sunday. This enchanted evening is $10 for adults and $3 for children.
The auction of the trees will be open during all hours of the festival.
