Middle school kids put away video games for the day and came to
enjoy hands-on science experiments Saturday at the 2011 Science
Alive Conference at Gavilan College. For $10, students from Santa
Clara and San Benito counties could participate. Those who could
not afford the fee could request a waiver. Lunch was provided and
students were exposed to math- and science-based activities.
