The Christopher High girls volleyball team improved to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in Monterey Bay League action following a four-set victory (25-16, 20-25, 25-15, 25-21) over league foe North Monterey County on Monday night in Gilroy.
The Cougars have now won nine of their last 10 matches.
Claudia Ferreira paced CHS with a team-high 12 kills, and Merrett Brown joined her in double-digits with 10 kills. Aly Olvera contributed nine kills and Hanna Tabron seven.
Alex Gerberick was responsible for serving up 39 assists. Defensively,
Paulina Vo-Griffin and Michelle Toves had nine and eight digs, respectively.
The Cougars had an effective night from the service line, recording 22 aces. Brown and Dejah Raoof posted four aces each while Toves, Ferreira, Vo-Griffin and Olvera had three apiece.
