She was a native of Arkansas and retired from Nuclear Energy Division of General Electric. She was an outstanding computer programmer setting up engineering problem code solutions in the technical FORTRAN language.
She was the beloved wife of Richard O. Niemi for 20 years, loving mother of the late Sharon Payne, devoted grandmother of Barbi Alexander of Gilroy, loving mother-in-law of Craig Payne of Gilroy, adoring great-grandmother of John and Jennifer Alexander, loving step-mother of Mary Lou Mantia, Ann (David) Marcus and Richard A. Niemi, loving step-grandmother of Jacob, Andrew and Melissa, dear sister of Loretta Benedetti, Celeste Thomas and Joseph Beard, and special aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or Hospice of the Valley.
