Walter L. Rabenorth passed away peacefully in his sleep, with his sister and great-nephew by his side, at the age of 79 in his home in Hollister.
He was born in San Francisco and came to Hollister in 1980. Walter was formerly a Deputy Sheriff for the San Francisco County Sheriff’s Department for 25 years. He was a member of Ridgemark Golf and Country Club.
Walter was the husband of the late Marjorie Rabenorth who died in 1989, and beloved brother of Toni Churchill, who resided with him. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Walter’s wishes were for no funeral services. Private interment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Hollister. Contributions are preferred to San Benito Home Health Care, c/o Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home.
