Gilroy – Walton & Sons Masonry reached 4-0 atop the Men’s Fall DD League standings Wednesday with a 13-9 victory over the VFW Vets at Las Animas Park.
Jason Mesa and A.J. Martinez lashed consecutive two-run doubles as Walton & Sons struck for five runs in the sixth inning and a 13-6 cushion.
Ian Hanley anchored the Walton & Sons offense with a double and two singles. Daniel Montenegro went 3-for-3 and Joe Cano bagged a two-run home run for the VFW Vets.
The Regulars moved to 2-1 by edging Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 13-12.
The Regulators erased a 5-4 deficit with a nine-run outburst in the bottom of the fourth inning. Jess Lopez Jr. smacked a two-run home run, Marco Lopez a two-run triple for the Regulators. Jess Lopez Jr. went 4-for-4. Joel Gaeta homered in a 4-for-4 performance for Pacific Coast Bail Bonds. Sergio Diaz and Alan Hazelberg each provided three hits to the Bail Bonds cause.
Zeke Lopez went 3-for-3 and scored two runs to help Los Pistoleros past New Hope Community Church 7-3. Matt Elam drilled a two-run home run for New Hope.
Malibu Heat is 3-0 in first place in the Men’s CCC after a 15-6 decision over Just Drink It at Christmas Hill Park Wednesday.
Justin Tandy collected two triples, a double and single for Malibu Heat. Brent Boyd added three hits and Josh Torres plated three Heat runs with a triple and single.
Cencal Autobody Supplies moved to 2-0 with a 23-8 nod over the Loc Boys. Larry Montez Jr. homered and Albert Tamez drilled four hits for the winners. Alex Pena hit a three-run home run and a triple for the Loco Boys.
Cali Boyz-SMJ Mechanical (2-1) topped the Bomb Squad 23-9.
Mario Silva hit three home runs for Cali Boyz-SMJ Mechanical. Ryan Bell went 3-for-4 for the Bomb Squad.
