Supervisor Mike Wasserman is giving South County shutterbugs a chance to show off their photography prowess this summer.

Wasserman, Santa Clara County’s District 1 supervisor, announced Tuesday he was accepting submissions for a summer photo contest, open to District 1 residents, according to a press release.

Submissions need to demonstrate a summer time theme and can range from photos of residents’ favorite activities to snapshots of natural scenery. Photos should speak to the distinct flavor of the communities.

Three winning photos will be selected, framed and displayed in the District 1 County Supervisor Office in San Jose and will appear online.

One entry per person is allowed, according to the release.

Residents can visit supervisorwasserman.org for the contest’s official rules and to obtain a contest entry form. Photos and completed entry forms should be sent to
