The girls (0-3) fell to an experienced Aptos bunch, 16-1, while the boys (1-2) dropped a 14-5 decision to San Lorenzo Valley. Both contests were in Tri-County Athletic League Valley Division action.
Freshman Hannah Marquez registered the girls’ lone goal. On the boys side, Brandon Irby scored twice and Matthew Higginbotham, Cesar Diaz and James Benson had one goal each.
“To their credit, the Christopher girls never gave up executing some good individual efforts,” head coach Paul Wells said. “The goalie play of Conner McConkie helped keep CHS in the game for a while,” Wells continued in regards to the boys’ game.
McConkie turned aside 10 of 24 SLV shots.
