Are YOU interested in politics? Would you like to learn more about what is going on in your city and the United States? If you answered “yes” to both of these questions, then today is your lucky day! Here are some groups you can join and Web sites you can log onto to become politically active and educated. And remember, you are NEVER too young to make a difference!
Gilroy Youth Commission
An organization appointed by the Gilroy City Council to act as a voice for all youth in Gilroy.

The City of Hollister
The City of Hollister does not have a youth commission, but many area teens work for the city’s various recreation programs. Also, all council and commission meetings are open to the public, and teens are encouraged to attend.
Morgan Hill Youth Advisory Committee
The Youth Advisory Committee serves as an advisory board to the Parks and Recreation Commission on issues relating to the recreational needs of the area’s youth. The committee is composed of eight appointed members and a liaison from the Parks and Recreation Commission.
