What is this … stuff about “this new area of town much nicer than the rest of the central part of Gilroy?” Apparently you haven’t ventured out of this new area and seen the other Gilroy. Take a tour through the mature neighborhoods, down the canopied Miller Avenue, Sixth Street, and their arteriole streets. Then, tell me which is “nicer.”

All over town there are such neighborhoods, each with their individual character that is appreciated and enjoyed by their residents. Enjoyed, I believe, because of their maturity and not because it is believed they are nicer than other parts of town.

There once was a time when there was only Gilroy. Now, according to you, Gilroy is composed of the new areas (a.k.a. Northwest Quadrant) and the central part. For me, I’ll take the 50-foot tall trees in Central Gilroy any day over the six-foot saplings of the new areas.
