GILROY – John Wischman’s three-run home run with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted Walton & Sons Masonry past the Titans 20-19 in Men’s DD Softball League play Tuesday at Christmas Hill Park.
The Titans broke a 14-14 tie in the top of the seventh with a five-run outburst. Mike Vanni ignited the rally with an RBI-triple. Walton & Sons responded with two runs on a Brandon Schalter sacrifice fly and three Titan errors. Jason Mesa hit a two-out RBI-double. Geoff Graves walked to set up the Wischman heroics. Craig Courtney went 4-for-4 and Vanni finished with two triples and one double for the Titans.
Eddie Castaneda’s two-out RBI-single in the top of the seventh helped No Soup 4 You (2-0) to a 5-4 edging of Silicon Valley Concrete.
Castaneda went 3-for-3 and Ralph Ortez scored two runs as No Soup joined Los Pistoleros atop the second-half standings. Manny Rivera went 2-for-4 for Silicon Valley Concrete.
Tito Flores went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to lead Los Pistoleros past the Loco Boys 12-8. Lupe Lemus and Art Tomasetti each collected three Pistoleros singles. Rich Hernandez went 4-for-4 for the Loco Boys (1-1).
Nick Magee and Scott Rossi each homered in 3-for-4 performances as Victoria’s Italian Deli stopped the Bike Center 18-10 in the Men’s D second-half opener Tuesday at Las Animas Park.
Eddie Cordia and Paul Bianchi each delivered a triple and two singles for Victoria’s. Jaime Garcia went 4-for-5, Israel Rico hit a two-run home run and Roger Castaneda scored three runs for the Bike Center.
Humboldt Brewing defeated Los Cochinos 24-6 as Dave Keim Jr. belted a home run, two doubles and two singles. Al Roybal and Ben Roybal each provided four Brewer hits. Mario Escudero went 2-for-2 for Los Cochinos.
Team Wicked reached 2-0 in Men’s CC play Wednesday with a 12-8 decision over the Players. Sat Regalado and Brian Filakowsky hit Wicked homers. Robert Tankersley drove in three Player runs with a pair of singles.
The Hit Men are 2-0 after a 16-10 victory over Cali Auto. Russ Chagnon homered and Mario Razzo hit three Hit Men doubles. Ryan Souza went 3-for-3, while Nathan Mixter was 2-for-2 for Cali Auto.
Joel Gaeta lined two home runs as Pacific Coast Bail Bonds (2-0) topped Dutchman’s Pizza 24-8. Bubba Castaneda homered and Tommy Cristobal tripled and singled for Dutchman’s.
Julian Castaneda and Mike Montenegro hit consecutive homers in the eighth to give So Juicy-Vets a 14-13 win over Blackout Window Tinting. Castaneda went 5-for-5, Joaquin Zamarron 4-for-4 for So Juicy. Matt Elam hit a triple and two singles for Blackout.
All 4 Seasons Pet Services is 1-0 in the second half of Women’s League action after a 13-7 nod over Goldsmith Seeds Wednesday at Las Animas. Maureen Hughes, Trudi Souza, Sandi Liberatore and Bria DeLorenzo each notched three Pet Services hits. Dora Olivares hit two doubles and a triple for Goldsmith Seeds.
Ms. BeHaving (1-1) outlasted Garza Sisters & Friends 20-8 behind four hits from Barb Lemberger. Cynthia Garza homered and Malysa Gause scored three runs for Garza Sisters.
