she was headed for Mexico with her 22-year-old boyfriend, Gilroy
police said Thursday.
Gilroy – A 12-year-old girl went missing Tuesday after telling friends she was headed for Mexico with her 22-year-old boyfriend, Gilroy police said Thursday.
Brenda Ascencion left home Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 7:40am without her schoolbooks, telling a younger sibling that she wouldn’t be needing them. Brenda hasn’t been seen since, and hasn’t answered cell phone calls.
Her boyfriend, Gilroy resident Darinel Perez Sosa, was recently arrested for weapons possession. At that time, his vehicle was impounded. Police say they don’t know what vehicle, if any, he might be driving. His family couldn’t provide any information on his whereabouts.
Police say the girl’s parents gave her permission to date Sosa. Before going missing, Brenda told friends she was pregnant.
As of press time Thursday, Brenda was still missing.
