Sacramento – The California Department of Food and Agriculture has three vacancies on its Fertilizer Inspection Advisory Board.

Applicants should hold a fertilizing materials license or work for an licensed firm.

To apply, send a brief resumé to the CDFA, Feed, Fertilizer, and Livestock Drugs Regulatory Services Branch, 1220 N Street, Sacramento, California 95814, Attention: Kent Kitade.

The deadline is Aug. 31.

In addition to the Fertilizer Inspection Advisory Board vacancies, the California Department of Food and Agriculture has 11 vacancies on the California Organic Products Advisory Committee.

Appointments will be two producer representatives, one wholesale distributor representative, two processor representatives, one retail representative, two consumer representatives, two alternate processor representatives, and one alternate retail representative.

The environmental, technical, and consumer representatives must not have a financial interest in the direct sales or marketing of organic products.

Nominations will be accepted until the positions are filled.
