PGA Tour interested in Morgan Hill

The PGA Tour is interested in holding a tournament at

Salvatore Samuel Zangari

Former San Juan Bautista resident, Salvatore S. Zangari passed away at Sonora Regional Hospital on Feb. 6th at the age of 92 years. Mr. Zangari was a native of Brooklyn, NY, moved to California in the 1920's, settling in San Francisco, later in Redwood City, and moved to San Juan Bautista in 1968. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater from 1942 to 1945, and a lifetime member of the Leslie L. Garrett Post 6359 V.F.W of San Juan Bautista. Most of his life was spent in the Construction Trades as a superintendent for heating and air conditioning jobs. He was a 65 year member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 467 of San Mateo County. Upon retirement from the Trades he became a manager for the Public Works Department for San Juan Bautista. Besides being a Chief of the San Juan Bautista Volunteer Fire Department, Salvatore was a handy-man doing iron work in San Juan Bautista; he constructed the hand rails required for the City when the Disabilities Act was passed. Sal and his late wife Waive Marilyn Zangari had been married for over 60 years when she passed away in April 2000. Surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, Dustra and Lloyd Myers of Twain Harte and Tanya and Steven Goldberg of Half Moon Bay; grandchildren, Michaelle Beach (Rodger) of San Lorenzo, Nathan Myers (Dina) of Indiana, and Theresa Goldberg of Half Moon Bay; and great-grandchildren, Scott and Dalton Myers of Indiana. Friends are invited to the graveside service on Saturday March 8th at 1:00 P.M. at San Juan Bautista District Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Friends of San Juan Library ,c/o Grunnagle Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister.

Janet Noonan, 92, passed at her home in Salinas. She graduated from the University of California in 1937. In 1952, she married George Raymond Noonan. While living in Morgan Hill, they were active members of St. John's Episcopal Church.

Richard (Dick) E. Madison

Richard "Dick" Madison of Morgan Hill, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008, at the age of 78. Survived by his wife, Kathryn and his children, Debbie (Myron) Leisted, Rick and Dan; three nieces and many friends. Services are pending in Wisconsin. Family requests that donations be made in Dick's memory to the charity of your choice.
