A funeral service will be held on November 3, 2014, at 11:00 A.M., in the chapel at Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane, San Bruno, CA. A cool breeze rustled through the trees surrounding DeRose Vineyard’s tasting room when I walked up on a Saturday morning. Pat DeRose, owner and winemaker, had just pulled up to the door in an old, gray pickup that showed signs of years spent out in the vineyards.
