The Gilroy High School Athletic Association will host its 32nd annual Crab Cioppino Feed, Dance and Auction at 4:30 p.m. May 12 at Christopher Ranch at 305 Bloomfield Avenue in Gilroy. This popular event attracts people from throughout the Bay Area – approximately 1,000 attended in 2011.
This year, organizers will host a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia and other items. If you have an item(s) or service from your business that you can donate, organizers are happy to come pick it up. They would like to collect all items by April 20.
Organizers suggest using the Cioppino feed as a reward for employees or clients. The “all you can eat” family style dinner features Crab Cioppino, salad, garlic bread and red wine, followed by dancing. Beer, wine and soda are also available for purchase during and after dinner. You can purchase a pack of tickets for $450, which is a savings of $5 per ticket.
Supporters can also join as a corporate sponsor of the event. A variety of programs are available that include signage, sponsor T-shirts, table top displays and ticket packages. Donations are tax deductible (GHS’s EIN number is 77-0394073). Patrons can also make a financial or “in kind” donation to underwrite the expenses of the event.
Individual tickets can be purchased between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at GHS, located 750 W. 10th St., or online by clicking here. Tickets cost $50 per person (21 and over only); online tickets are subject to a $3 service charge. Chamber of Commerce members receive a discounted price at a rate of $45 per ticket when purchased at GHS.Â
