I feel that this action – issuing an arrest warrant for the woman involved in the death of the child – is very unfortunate! What happened was a very unfortunate accident!
The Trejo family is suffering from their loss! I understand that. I am a mother of two and can’t imagine having such a void in my heart over the loss of a child. But at the same time I know that Robertina Franco has to be suffering as well! This is a terrifying incident that can take a toll on one person and their family.
She is not a monster who intentional did this. Nor was she under the influence of any drugs, according to the information provided in the paper. To know that a little life is gone due to your actions (accidentally) is very hard to live with. I think that this is a punishment that she will live with for the rest of her life.
What good does it do anyone involved for her to sit in jail? My sorrow goes out to “both families”.
